All members of the University community—faculty, staff, undergraduates, graduate and professional students, post doctorate fellows, and residents—may utilize the services of the Ombuds Office.

The Ombuds Office is unable to serve members of collective bargaining units, or individuals solely affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania Health System but not the University, for whom alternative grievance procedures are available.

You may arrange for a consultation by calling the Office of the Ombuds at (215) 898-8261, or by completing and submitting an electronic request for a consultation.

DIRECTIONS TO THE OFFICE OF THE OMBUDS

The Office of the Ombuds is located at 113 Duhring Wing, 236 S. 34th Street (entrance is on the campus side of the building). During Wing is attached to and directly south of the Fisher Fine Arts Library. You cannot access the Duhring Wing through Fisher Fine Arts Library; the building has a separate entrance, about 20 yards down the walkway from the main stairs to Fisher (heading south), through the garden on your left.

If you require access by elevator, the elevator is located on the south side of the building. To reach that entrance, continue down the walkway from Fisher Fine Arts Library, past the garden entrance to Duhring Wing, and turn left when the hedge ends. Proceed to the entrance way that is on your left. After entering the building, proceed to the access door on your right, and down the hall to the elevator on your left.

The Office of the Ombuds is on the first floor. A Penn Card is required for entrance to the building. If you do not have a Penn card, please call (215) 898-8261 for assistance entering the building.
